Alignable, the largest relationship intelligence platform for small businesses in North America, today launched Allie, an AI networking assistant that helps members act on the network they have already built.
The problem was never that small business owners lack a network. It's knowing which relationships to invest in, when to reach out, and why. Allie provides that guidance every day, grounded in 14 years of data on how relationships on Alignable turn into customers.
Small businesses account for nearly half of U.S. private-sector employment and roughly 44 percent of GDP, according to the SBA Office of Advocacy. Despite that, they have operated without the relationship infrastructure larger companies take for granted: a business development team, a CRM with someone to run it. Allie closes that gap by helping small business owners make more of one of every entrepreneur's most critical assets: their network of people who know and trust them.
"Customer acquisition is the loudest problem small business owners have but it's not the only one," said Eric Groves, co-founder and CEO of Alignable. "The same network that brings you a new customer can bring you your next hire, your next vendor, the answer to a problem you didn't know how to solve. Allie is our first step toward putting Alignable at the center of every one of those decisions: the place small business owners turn to unlock everything they need to succeed."
The connection graph Underneath Allie is Alignable's connection graph, built from 14 years of activity across millions of members. It understands not just who is connected, but how: customers who buy, referral partners who send business, and network allies such as bankers, associations, and adjacent service providers who open new doors.
How Allie works
Allie leverages that graph to identify a member's highest-potential relationships and reviews them continually against the Alignable Method℠. The method is a five-step framework Alignable derived from studying how its most successful members build quality referral relationships.
From there, Allie surfaces which connections are worth acting on now, drafts the outreach, and flags the right moment for an introduction, a follow-up, or a referral.
Alignable member, Josh Jamerson (owner of a lending business in Spokane Valley, WA), conveyed his initial experiences with Allie, saying, "When I asked Allie which industries could refer business to my network, it didn't just give me names — it considered industry fit and relationship strength, then helped me write introductions that sounded like me. One conversation turned into five to ten warm introductions. It doesn't feel like ChatGPT added to another website — it feels like having a personal relationship assistant who recognizes opportunities hiding in plain sight."
Allie is built around a simple principle: the member stays in control. For actions Allie can take on a member's behalf, it recommends the next step and acts only with approval. For inherently personal actions such as asking for an introduction, making a referral, or reaching out, Allie provides the intelligence; the member takes the action.
"What makes Allie work isn't the model. It's what surrounds it," said Venkat Krishnamurthy, co-founder and President of Alignable. "On one side, 14 years of real relationship signals across 12 million small businesses: introductions, referrals, and connections that became customers. On the other, a product members already know and trust. The data is ours. The relationship graph is ours. AI makes Allie possible. Our relationship data makes it uniquely valuable."
